Compas XR Launch

ETH Zurich and Princeton University have jointly launched Compas XR, an open-source tool that integrates extended reality (XR) technologies into architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) processes.

Developed within the Compas framework, Compas XR enhances planning workflows by incorporating virtual and augmented reality, fostering better visualisation, human-machine collaboration, and more informed decision-making. Spearheaded by Gramazio Kohler Research at ETH Zurich and Assistant Professor Daniela Mitterberger from Princeton’s Architecture Department, the event was a great success that marked a significant milestone for both institutions.
