Missing from the picture: Dr Johannes Schmitt (2nd place, staff category); Monica Andrea Garcia Otalora (1st place, student category) and two jury members: Dr Alexis Shakas (D-EAPS) and Roman Schurter (ETH Library)

The project "Real-Time Immersive Design with GenAI" invites visitors to interactively position and scale a virtual café within a residential high-rise—simulating not only the visual aesthetics but also acoustic dynamics in real time. Using motion capture and a 72-speaker spatial audio system, paired with generative AI (Stable Diffusion, ControlNet, and ComfyUI), the demo delivers instant, photorealistic feedback without complex 3D modeling.
